Idris Elba, star of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, pitches a Cyberpunk 2077 live-action film with himself and Keanu Reeves. Elba, in an interview with ScreenRant promoting Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (where he and Reeves co-star), enthusiastically expressed his belief that a live-action adaptation featuring their characters would be incredible.

A Night City Reunion?
Elba's excitement stems from the potential synergy between his character, Solomon Reed, and Reeves' iconic Johnny Silverhand. He stated that a live-action adaptation of Cyberpunk 2077 is feasible, and the pairing of their characters would be "Whoa."

This isn't just wishful thinking; Variety reported in October 2023 that CD Projekt Red (CDPR) is collaborating with Anonymous Content on a live-action project. While details remain scarce a year later, the success of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and the Witcher live-action series suggests a Cyberpunk 2077 adaptation is highly plausible.

More Cyberpunk on the Horizon
Beyond the live-action possibilities, the Cyberpunk franchise continues to expand. A prequel manga to Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, titled Cyberpunk: Edgerunners MADNESS, has launched, focusing on Rebecca and Pilar before joining Maine's crew. A Blu-ray release of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is also planned for 2025. Furthermore, CDPR has teased a new Cyberpunk 2077 animated series.
