Crashlands 2's major update, version 1.1, has just been released by Butterscotch Shenanigans, bringing a host of new features and improvements that fans of the original Crashlands have been eagerly awaiting. Let's dive into what this update brings to the table.
What’s in Store in Crashlands 2 Update 1.1?
Introducing Legend Mode, a new difficulty setting that surpasses the existing Challenge Mode. On the planet Woanope, enemies are not only faster and more aggressive but also boast significantly increased health. Conversely, Flux Dabes has become even more fragile. While there are no new achievements specifically for Legend Mode, completing it will automatically unlock all achievements from lower difficulties, offering a rewarding challenge for seasoned players.
For those who prefer a more relaxed experience, Explorer Mode has been introduced. This mode significantly reduces the combat intensity, allowing players to focus on farming, building, and fishing without the constant threat of enemy encounters. It's the perfect setting to immerse yourself in the game's story, decorate your base, and interact with the unique characters of Crashlands 2.
One of the most significant additions in this update is the return of The Compendium. Responding to community feedback, this feature meticulously tracks everything Flux discovers, including pets, recipes, and items, helping players keep track of their progress towards completion.
Pets also got a bit of an upgrade
With the Update 1.1 of Crashlands 2, pets have been enhanced to assist during combat. Each pet now comes equipped with a unique ability that can be activated every 20 seconds, adding a strategic layer to battles. Additionally, gear crafting has been expanded with the introduction of random bonus stats on armor, alongside new gadgets, weapons, and trinkets for players to experiment with.
Quality of life improvements are also a major part of this update. Players can now build on a wider variety of terrains, customize the location of their home teleporter, and adjust the level of darkness at night, enhancing the overall gameplay experience.
Crashlands 2 is available for download on the Google Play Store. The game was initially released on April 10th, and this update demonstrates Butterscotch Shenanigans' commitment to responding to player feedback and continuously improving the game.
