How To Craft & Use Gems In Dynasty Warriors: Origins

Dynasty Warriors: Origins - Gem Crafting and Pyroxene Farming Guide

Boost your character's power in Dynasty Warriors: Origins by crafting and upgrading Gems! Gems provide passive buffs, offering a significant advantage, especially at higher difficulties. This guide details gem crafting, upgrading, and Pyroxene acquisition.

Gem Crafting and Leveling

Gem crafting utilizes Pyroxene and is accessible at any Inn or tent. Select "Create Gems" (second option from the top in your room menu). You can use any number of Pyroxene at a 1:1 ratio to craft gems. Five unique gems are craftable, each with a random chance of appearing with each Pyroxene used.

Initially crafted gems are level 1 and equippable via the Battle Preparations menu. Crafting duplicates of a gem grants experience (XP), increasing its level and potency. For broad improvement, use all your Pyroxene at once.

For targeted gem acquisition, try crafting single gems. This might trigger "Eyes of the Sacred Bird," randomly selecting three gems for crafting with subsequent Pyroxene. You can cancel this effect by exiting and re-entering the gem crafting menu. While tedious, crafting one gem at a time increases the odds of activating "Eyes of the Sacred Bird" for your desired gem. Note that "Eyes of the Sacred Bird" reduces, but doesn't eliminate, randomness.

Here's a list of craftable gems and their effects:

Gem Name Passive Boost
Oblivion Gem Expands attack range.
Vortex Gem Boosts damage to airborne enemies.
Scorch Gem Boosts damage against parried enemies.
Wellspring Gem Restores health per 100 enemies defeated.
Ascendance Gem Chance to automatically block officer attacks.

Pyroxene Locations

Pyroxene crystals (orange) randomly appear across the overworld map. Each crystal yields one Pyroxene upon interaction, then disappears. Pyroxene respawns after skirmishes or battles, encouraging exploration of previously visited areas. Letters read in your Inn or tent room may also occasionally reward Pyroxene.
