Clash of Clans is about to undergo a massive transformation: troop training times are being completely eliminated! Get ready for near-instant army deployment and lightning-fast battles. However, don't forget about those Training Potions and Treats—use them or lose them before they're removed!
While Clash of Clans holds a special place in mobile gaming history, it's undeniable that some aspects have aged. Supercell recognizes this and has been steadily modernizing the game. The upcoming removal of troop, spell, and siege unit training times represents the most significant change yet.
Following the removal of training costs in 2022, training times are the next casualty. Prepare for cheers (and perhaps a few tears) as this long-standing mechanic disappears!
Training Potions and Treats will soon vanish from in-app purchases and chest rewards. You can still find them in the Trader and Gold Pass for now, but act quickly—they'll be converted to Gems at the end of the month.
Training Day is Over!
To complement this change, Supercell introduces "Match Anytime," allowing attacks on snapshots of other players' bases when real-time matches aren't available. Rewards are still earned, but the attacked player won't lose resources. This feature, already present in Clan Wars and Legend League, becomes standard.
Other changes are also on the horizon, including the introduction of Elixir or Dark Elixir costs for army donations. For complete details, visit the Supercell blog.
