Ananta: The Highly Anticipated Open-World RPG from Project Mugen

Project Mugen's creators have finally unveiled their game's title: Ananta. The project is steadily progressing towards a full release, generating considerable excitement.

Initial promotional materials for Ananta have captivated audiences, showcasing a unique blend of popular game elements. The game draws inspiration from titles like Genshin Impact, Zenless Zone Zero, and even GTA, all presented within a captivating anime aesthetic.

Ananta's release has been greenlit in China, with a projected launch in 2025 across PC, PlayStation 5, and mobile platforms. A recent trailer (released December 5th) highlighted Ananta as an open-world urban RPG where players assume the role of an A.C.D. agent in Nova, a sun-kissed coastal city brimming with mystery and adventure.

This ambitious, large-scale undertaking is a collaborative effort between NetEase Studios, Thunder Fire Studio, and Naked Rain. The developers cite the game's blend of familiar environments with a strong supernatural element as a key factor in its growing global appeal.

Key features of Ananta, previously known as Project Mugen, include four-player team-based battles, a striking art style, and fluid, high-speed movement.
