The Sims 4's Blast from the Past event presents players with rewarding yet challenging tasks. One particularly tricky challenge involves breaking and repairing an object. This guide provides a straightforward solution.
Week 2's challenge requires raising your Sim's Handiness skill to level 2 or higher and then repairing a broken object. While skill improvement is relatively simple, locating a broken item isn't. The easiest approach is to intentionally break something. While using the "prank" interaction is an option, it requires specific Sim traits, adding unnecessary complexity. A simpler method is to repeatedly use an item until it breaks.
The Ambassador toilet is an inexpensive choice. Repeated use (around a dozen times) will cause it to malfunction, fulfilling the "broken object" requirement. This can be done by your Sim or by inviting guests to use the toilet.
Repairing the broken object is straightforward once your Handiness skill reaches level 2. Simply select the "Repair" interaction on the broken toilet. The repair process takes a short time, after which the challenge is completed.
