Boss battles, Mechagodzilla and Kong: details on the Fortnite and Monsterverse collaboration

The highly anticipated Godzilla skin, launching in Fortnite on January 17th, has had its details prematurely revealed thanks to recent online leaks and an early game update by Epic Games. Dataminers have uncovered the full scope of the Monsterverse collaboration.

Beyond the standard Godzilla skin obtainable through the battle pass, players can acquire a bundle featuring Mechagodzilla and Kong from the in-game store. This bundle boasts unique jetpacks and pickaxes designed specifically for each character.

A new boss event will also commence on January 17th. One player will transform into a colossal Godzilla, unleashing atomic breath and other signature abilities. Players must collaborate to defeat this powerful foe. The player inflicting the most damage will receive a medallion granting a unique in-game advantage.

The Mechagodzilla and Kong bundle will be available at the usual time and includes:

  • Kong: 1500 V-bucks
  • Mechagodzilla: 1800 V-bucks
  • Two Pickaxes: 800 V-bucks each
  • One Emote: 400 V-bucks
  • Two Wraps: 500 V-bucks each
  • Complete Bundle: 2800 V-bucks

In other exciting news, Fortnite's roster of guest appearances continues to expand. A potential collaboration with the popular vocaloid Hatsune Miku is hinted at through social media interactions between the official Hatsune Miku and Fortnite accounts regarding a missing backpack. This suggests a possible Hatsune Miku skin, concert, and related items, including a stylized pickaxe and a "Miku the Catgirl" skin variant.
