The mobile RPG Boomerang RPG: Watch Out Dude, having surpassed 1 million downloads since its March release, is celebrating with a crossover event featuring the popular South Korean webcomic The Sound of Your Heart.
The Sound of Your Heart, a Naver Webtoon series by Jo Seok that ran from 2006 to 2020, boasts over 7 billion views and a Netflix adaptation. This collaboration brings its iconic characters to Boomerang RPG.
Who's Joining the Party?
The crossover introduces Jo Seok, his formidable wife Aebong, his lovable father-in-law Jjaeddanyo, and his petal-dropping friend Buuk Suh. Players will rescue these characters from a dungeon; upon clearing it, they join the player's team. The final boss? Aebong's fearsome alter-ego, Dark Aebong, whose animations are directly inspired by the webcomic.
More Than Just Characters!
The event includes a 21-day attendance reward offering free collab characters. Limited-edition boomerangs themed around items like drumsticks, golf clubs, hair dryers, and styluses are also available. A Token Event allows players to collect food-themed tokens (kimchi, tomatoes, noodles, chicken) to exchange for unique magic effects and legendary boomerangs.
