Get ready, Zombies fans! A brand-new map is coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, courtesy of Treyarch. Prepare for the Mansion – the fifth new map added to the game.
Black Ops 6: A New Zombies Map Arrives
Call of Duty's official X (formerly Twitter) account and Treyarch Studio dropped a tantalizing teaser on March 12, 2025. The image? A damaged mansion, engulfed in flames and ominous black smoke. The caption? "Personal log. Edward Richtoften recording…" along with the #Zombies hashtag. The return of Edward "Eddie" Richtoften, a key character from Call of Duty: Cold War (and a significant part of Black Ops 6's remake), is a welcome sight.
Sharp-eyed fans have identified the location as the Mansion from Liberty Falls, set in February 1991, as indicated in the teaser image. This timeline aligns perfectly with the narrative from Black Ops 6's previous Zombies map, The Tomb, hinting at a direct continuation of the story.
Here's a game-changer: Treyarch confirmed on their Instagram account that this map will significantly alter the enemy encounters. Responding to a fan's comment about anticipating hordes of Amalgams, the developers simply stated, "Nope." This means a potentially smoother zombie-slaying experience, as players will face fewer of these notoriously tough Elite enemies. Prepare for a different kind of challenge!
