Watch out, Simmers... The Burglar returns!
That notorious thief, a throwback for veteran players of earlier Sims titles, is creeping back into The Sims 4 with the newest game update.
Available now on PC and consoles, this update brings back Robin Banks - which means you'd better stash your valuables securely. She primarily strikes at night while households sleep, though bold daylight robberies aren't unheard of... Stay vigilant.
Protect your home with burglary alarms - triggering one ensures police arrive to apprehend Banks and retrieve stolen items. Even without alarms, you can call authorities manually (just be speedy). Or take matters into your own hands... The choice is yours.

"We're ecstatic to reintroduce The Burglar to The Sims franchise," developers shared. "Special thanks to our entire team for bringing Robin Banks to life. She's not just here to loot homes - she's stealing hearts too! What better 25th anniversary celebration than this nostalgic-yet-refreshing feature? We can't wait to see the mischief she'll cause in your households."
Despite The Sims 4 celebrating its 10th anniversary (and the series turning 25), last year saw over 15 million new players discover the game.
EA's Q2 earnings report revealed that while the premium version took four years to reach 20 million players, going free-to-play in 2022 immediately attracted 31 million new users, totaling 85 million by May 2024. Currently, there are still no confirmed plans for The Sims 5... Shocking!
