The Bard Arrives as a Playable Hero in Halls of Torment: Premium Mobile

Erabit has rolled out a new update for Halls of Torment: Premium on mobile, introducing The Bard as a playable hero. As a musician, this character brings a rhythm-driven combat style that offers a refreshing contrast to the game’s typically dark and oppressive atmosphere.

Rather than depending on standard attacks, this hero battles using musical rhythms. His skills trigger in sync with the beat, urging players to focus on flow and timing rather than just raw damage output.

The developers have also added a Manual Level Up option. When activated via the Settings menu, characters no longer level up automatically, requiring players to manually apply upgrades.

Following a stellar reception with a 96% positive rating and over 1 million Steam users, Halls of Torment officially launched on mobile in October 2025. The port delivers the complete PC experience, featuring deep build customization and a fast-paced roguelike loop that suits both quick sessions and extended play.

This horde survival title features a pre-rendered retro aesthetic inspired by late-90s RPGs. Players choose from various heroes to descend into the perilous Halls of Torment, battling unholy horrors and surviving endless waves of enemies until confronting one of the tormented Lords.
