Embarking on the perilous journey through the Living Lands in Avowed is far less daunting with the right companions. This RPG boasts four unique allies, each with distinct personalities and upgradeable abilities, ready to join your quest. Let's meet the team:
Kai, a fierce ex-mercenary with a surprisingly soft side, is one of your earliest companions. Encountered early in Dawnshore near Paradis, he joins your party after assisting you in finding the Ambassador and Cleric. A formidable tank in combat, Kai delivers substantial damage while withstanding significant punishment. His fire abilities prove invaluable for clearing obstacles like cobwebs and roots, opening up hidden paths and revealing valuable loot. Once you have three companions, you can swap him out at a Party Camp.
Kai's upgradeable abilities include:
Marius, an expert hunter and tracker with a shared history with Kai, is found in Dawnshore. He joins your party after a bar encounter, where you can choose to talk your way out of trouble or engage in combat. Marius's abilities reflect his expertise, utilizing bow and arrow, daggers, and nature-bending skills to trap enemies with roots. His Hunter Sense ability aids in locating loot and crafting materials.
Marius's upgradeable abilities include:
Giatta, an animancer, joins the party later in the Emerald Stair region at the Fior settlement. Her animancer abilities are crucial to unraveling spiritual mysteries in the main quest. In combat, she provides support through healing, shielding, and buffing allies. Her Spectral Jolt ability activates Essence Generators, opening up new exploration paths.
Giatta's upgradeable abilities include:
Yatzli, the final companion, joins your party during a main quest in the Shatterscarp region of Thirdborn. A damage-focused magic user, Yatzli delivers powerful spells, offering both single-target and area-of-effect crowd control options. She also uses her magic to overcome environmental obstacles.
Yatzli's upgradeable abilities include:
