Unlike the Linux-based Steam Deck, the ROG Ally utilizes Windows 11, offering compatibility with virtually all major game launchers (Steam, Battle.net, Xbox Game Pass, Epic Games Store, GOG, Ubisoft Connect, and more). This broad compatibility is a significant advantage for gamers who enjoy titles beyond Steam's ecosystem.
In IGN's review, the ROG Ally was praised as a fantastic portable Xbox Game Pass machine. While battery life and the lack of Steam Deck-style touchpads were noted as drawbacks, the reviewer highlighted the exceptional 1080p display and powerful performance.
