May 2025 in Pokémon GO is shaping up to be an action-packed month, filled with exciting events and the much-anticipated return of the Lake Trio. The highlight of the month is undoubtedly the Lake Trio's reappearance in 5-Star Raids, which will be available across various regions.
What Does Pokémon GO Have in Store for May 2025?
Kicking off the month, Tapu Fini will grace Five-Star raids from May 1st to May 12th. Players can look forward to encountering Tapu Fini with its special move, Nature's Madness, and the added thrill of a Shiny chance.
Following that, from May 12th, the Lake Trio will make their grand return, with appearances varying by region. Uxie will be available in the Asia-Pacific, Mesprit in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India, and Azelf in the Americas and Greenland. This regional distribution adds a unique twist to the excitement of catching these legendary Pokémon.
After the Lake Trio's departure, Tapu Bulu will take over the Five-Star raids from May 25th to June 3rd, 2025. Like Tapu Fini, Tapu Bulu will also bring Nature's Madness and a chance to encounter its Shiny form.
For those interested in Mega Raids, May 2025 offers a robust lineup. Mega Houndoom will be available from May 1st to 12th, followed by Mega Gyarados from May 12th to 25th, and then Mega Altaria from May 25th to June 3rd.

The month is packed with events, starting with "Growing Up" from May 2nd to 7th, and a Mega Kangaskhan Raid Day on May 3rd. "Crown Clash" runs from May 10th to 18th, overlapping with the Dynamax Suicune Max Battle Weekend on May 10th and 11th.
On May 11th, the Community Day will feature a yet-to-be-revealed Pokémon, adding an element of surprise to the festivities. "Crown Clash: Taken Over" will take place from May 14th to 18th, with a Shadow Raid Day scheduled for May 17th.
From May 21st to 27th, "Final Strike: GO Battle Week" will captivate players, and the May Community Day Classic is set for May 24th. Wrapping up the month, a Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day will occur on May 25, 2025.
