Nintendo Announces Closure of

Nintendo's Popular Mobile Game, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, is Closing its Doors

Yes, you read that correctly! Nintendo has announced the end-of-service (EOS) date for its beloved mobile game, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, leaving many players surprised. Let's delve into the details.

The Final Campfire: November 28th, 2024

Online services for Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp will cease on November 28th, 2024. This marks a bittersweet end, especially considering the game's seventh anniversary falls just a few days prior, on November 21st. After this date, Leaf Tickets will no longer be available, and Pocket Camp Club memberships will not be renewed. Auto-renewals for the Pocket Camp Club will stop on October 28th; existing memberships will not be refunded, but players will receive a commemorative badge. Your last chance to acquire Leaf Tickets is November 26th. The online community will officially bid farewell at 7:00 AM PST on November 28th.

A New Beginning: An Offline Version is Coming!

While the online experience is ending, Nintendo plans to release a paid offline version of the game. While features like Market Boxes, gifting, and visiting friends' campsites will be absent, the core gameplay will remain. Players will retain their saved progress and enjoy the game without an internet connection. More information on this paid offline version is expected around October 2024.

A Trend of Mobile Game Closures at Nintendo?

This closure follows a pattern of Nintendo discontinuing its mobile games. Dr. Mario World and Dragalia Lost have already met similar fates, and Mario Kart Tour is currently in maintenance mode. Therefore, the shutdown of Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp isn't entirely unexpected.

For those wanting to enjoy the game's final days, download Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp from the Google Play Store. Stay tuned for our upcoming article on Netflix's Monument Valley 3.
