This app offers a modern take on crosswords: Scanwords! Download our second Scanword app now – find the link on the initial screen (by clicking the image) or in the "Settings - Other applications" section.

Scanwords, a uniquely Russian phenomenon, stand out with their literary, humorous, and culturally relevant questions, adding a surprising depth to the classic crossword format. The app features a diverse range of puzzles: easy and challenging, photo-based, and with question styles ranging from simple single-word answers to more complex prompts. Each page features a character from our fun cast.

All scanwords are free, offering 52-53 issues annually, each with 20 puzzles. The app is designed to be space-efficient, using small images and compact text (approximately 50MB total). No internet connection is required once the puzzles are downloaded. New issues are released every Friday at 12:00 local time (with optional notifications). Automatic downloads occur upon login, preventing repeated downloads. You can also download or delete individual issues or all issues at once via the "Settings" menu.

The app is free, with advertising supporting its operation. This includes a single banner ad per page and a single interstitial ad before each puzzle. The ad experience does not interrupt gameplay. Viewers are rewarded with free hints for watching advertiser videos.

Users can choose to: a) disable ads permanently; b) purchase a subscription to remove ads and unlock unlimited hints; or c) collect hints in bulk. These options are available in the "Shop" section.

Privacy Policy:

We only use the standard Android advertising identifier for ad placement and performance analysis. Personal data association with this identifier (including SSAID, MAC address, or IMEI) requires your explicit consent.
