Application Description
Tarneeb is a card game played by two teams, each consisting of two players sitting opposite each other. The game uses a standard 52-card deck, and play proceeds counter-clockwise. Each player attempts to predict the number of "Allmat" (tricks) their team will win in a given round.
The player who wins the bid to declare "Tarneeb" throws a type of paper onto the floor; other players must then throw the same type of paper. The first player to successfully match the paper type wins the "Bamh." If a player doesn't have the matching paper, they forfeit the "Tarneeb" option. "Tarneeb" papers are considered more powerful than other papers; the player who throws the strongest "Tarneeb" paper wins, unless a stronger one is played.
The round ends when all players have played their cards. Points are tallied. A team's bid must be met or exceeded to score points. If successful, the team adds the number of "Allmat" won to their score; the opposing team gets no points. If unsuccessful, the bid is subtracted from their score, and the opposing team adds their "Allmat" total to their score.
If either team achieves 13 tricks without bidding for 13, 16 points are added to their total. If a team bids for and wins 13 tricks, 26 points are added. If a team bids for 13 tricks and fails, 16 points are deducted.
The game concludes when one team reaches a total score of 41 or more, declaring that team the winner.
