Netflix unveiled the opening trailer for its upcoming Devil May Cry anime adaptation, shortly after announcing its April 3, 2025 premiere date. Set to Limp Bizkit's iconic "Rollin'," the trailer showcases dynamic action sequences featuring a young Dante, Lady, and the enigmatic White Rabbit, peppered with familiar nods to the game series.
Showrunner Adi Shankar elaborated on his vision, explaining the series' late 90s/early 2000s setting and its accompanying soundtrack. He highlighted Limp Bizkit's contribution, promising further tracks from the era alongside a synthwave reimagining of the game's soundtrack by Power Glove.
Shankar hinted at a multi-season arc, promising varied visual styles and soundtracks for future seasons to reflect the diverse nature of the Devil May Cry games.
While plot specifics remain under wraps, the first season—comprising eight episodes—is anticipated to draw inspiration from the Devil May Cry 3 manga, "Code 1: Dante." This arc centers on a young Dante investigating a child's disappearance, forcing him to confront his father Sparda's demonic legacy and his own complicated past.
