After months of speculation and teases, Activision has finally pulled back the curtain on the much-anticipated remake: Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4. The project is in the capable hands of Iron Galaxy, stepping in for the renowned Vicarious Visions, the team behind the successful THPS 1+2. Fans can look forward to a visual feast with enhanced graphics, the exciting addition of online multiplayer, and fresh faces to skate with, including Rayssa Leal, Nyjah Huston, and Yuto Horigome. The newly released trailer gives us a glimpse of iconic skate spots like Airport, Tokyo, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, all brought to life with the latest technology. The trailer also includes a striking side-by-side comparison of the game's graphics, showcasing the leap from the original to the new version.
Skateboarding legends such as Tony Hawk, Bucky Lasek, and Rodney Mullen are set to make a return, although it appears that Bam Margera will not be part of this lineup. Those opting for the Digital Deluxe edition will unlock exclusive characters, including Doom Slayer and Revenant, adding a unique twist to the game. Moreover, the developers have pledged to revive the spirit of the original with a selection of classic tracks from bands like Motorhead, Gang Starr, and CKY, enhancing the nostalgic vibe.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 is slated for release on July 11 across multiple platforms, including Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4/5, Xbox Series, and PC. Pre-order benefits include early access to a demo in June and the opportunity to play the full game three days ahead of the official launch date.
