Tony Hawk Insists Bam Margera Joins THPS 3+4

Bam Margera, the iconic skateboarder and Jackass star, is set to make a surprising return to the roster of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4, despite initial reports suggesting otherwise. This exciting news was revealed by skateboarding media veteran Roger Bagley during a members-only livestream of The Nine Club skateboarding podcast, as reported by Video Games Chronicle.

Bagley shared that the game was "already done" when Tony Hawk personally intervened, reaching out to Activision to request Margera's inclusion. Despite being initially told it was not feasible, Hawk's determination led to Margera's eventual addition to the game. IGN has reached out to Activision for further comment on this development.

Margera's journey has been tumultuous, marked by well-documented struggles with alcohol and substance abuse, including multiple rehab visits. His professional life saw a significant setback when he was fired from the Jackass Forever project and faced a restraining order from Jackass director Jeff Tremaine due to alleged threats.

Recent sightings of Hawk and Margera skateboarding together had sparked speculation about Margera's potential return to the game, adding to the excitement surrounding this announcement.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4, announced earlier this month, is slated for release on July 11, 2025, across multiple platforms including PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Developed by Iron Galaxy, this project overcame significant challenges, including being nearly scrapped following the merger of the previous series developer, Vicarious Visions, with Blizzard.
