HoYoverse has unveiled a captivating new update for Tears of Themis: the "Ballad of the Dunes" event. This exciting collaboration with Gansu Province's Culture & Tourism brings the allure of detective work together with the rich cultural heritage of Dunhuang, a city nestled on the edge of the Gobi Desert.
What "Ballad of the Dunes" Offers in Tears of Themis
This crossover event weaves a tapestry of history, romance, and mystery, immersing players in the captivating atmosphere of the ancient Silk Road. Prepare to unravel intriguing mysteries against the stunning backdrop of Dunhuang's timeless beauty. "Ballad of the Dunes" introduces several exciting additions to the game:
The event features four stunning new MR cards, each showcasing one of the four main characters—Luke, Artem, Vyn, and Marius—in unique styles inspired by Dunhuang's cultural elements. Expect to see depictions of graceful flying apsaras, intricate murals, and the iconic pipa, the traditional Chinese lute. The artistry evokes the ancient performers depicted in the Mogao Caves, reflecting the Silk Road's vibrant blend of art, culture, and trade during the Western Han Dynasty (202 BC–8 AD). HoYoverse masterfully translates this rich history into a captivating digital experience within Tears of Themis.
Each card boasts a unique story: Luke's "In the Footsteps of Silk," Artem's "Serenade of the Soul," Vyn's "Reverberation Through Time," and Marius's "Void of Creation." These cards also include Private Messages that delve deeper into this thousand-year-old journey.

Event Rewards
From February 13th to February 20th, 2025, players can participate in event challenges to earn Camel Bells, S-Chips, and other valuable rewards. The main challenge involves a game board where players flip cells to reveal their prizes. The ultimate reward is the choice of one of the four new "Ballad of the Dunes" MR cards. Complete 100 cell flips to unlock the exclusive Celebration – Dunes Namecard.
