NetherRealm and WB Games have exciting news for Mortal Kombat 1 enthusiasts: the official gameplay trailer for T-1000 has been unveiled, with the character set to join the roster next Tuesday. This addition is particularly intriguing due to T-1000's unique ability to transform into liquid metal, allowing for innovative ways to dodge projectiles. Fans of Kabal will find T-1000 appealing, as the new character incorporates some of Kabal's iconic weapons and moves, even though Kabal himself isn't featured in the game.
The trailer also pays homage to the classic film Terminator 2: Judgment Day, with a recreation of the memorable scene where T-1000 wags his finger—a gesture famously banned in the NBA for being unsportsmanlike. Additionally, T-1000 interacts with Johnny Cage, inquiring about John Connor, further enriching the crossover experience.
Alongside T-1000, the trailer introduced Madam Bo, who will also be joining Mortal Kombat 1. T-1000's Fatality showcases his liquid metal transformation, where he not only changes his appearance but also replaces his victim, demonstrating the efficiency of the machine in completing its mission.
WB Games has not made any further announcements regarding future content. Speculation is rife that this might be the final wave of new additions for Mortal Kombat 1, with whispers of a new game announcement on the horizon. However, no official confirmation has been provided yet.
