As a die-hard fan of George Miller, I can confidently say he's one of the most visionary directors out there. His work on the Mad Max and Happy Feet franchises showcases his incredible range. Yes, there was indeed a sequel to Happy Feet, which is worth exploring if you haven't already. But let's dive into the chaotic, post-apocalyptic world of Mad Max, which blends the raw energy of '80s action with a surreal Australian wasteland.
After releasing three films between 1979 and 1985, it seemed like Mad Max would remain a relic of its time. However, following his detour with Happy Feet, Miller returned triumphantly to the franchise that launched his career. With Tom Hardy stepping into the iconic role previously played by Mel Gibson, Mad Max: Fury Road hit theaters in 2016 and was met with widespread critical acclaim, ultimately securing six Academy Awards. While the latest addition, Furiosa, didn't achieve the same box office success, I firmly believe Mad Max remains one of the greatest action franchises ever.
As we celebrate the 10th anniversary of Fury Road, a Mad Max marathon is the perfect way to immerse yourself in Miller's dystopian universe. Here’s how you can watch all the Mad Max movies online:

Plans start at $9.99. See it at Max

If you want to watch the Mad Max movies chronologically, you can follow the release order for the original trilogy and then swap Furiosa and Fury Road like this:
However, I believe Furiosa is best enjoyed as the final movie in your marathon. Like many great prequels, some of Furiosa's most powerful moments rely on your understanding of the characters from Fury Road.
George Miller has hinted that the future of the Mad Max franchise depends on Furiosa's performance. Although it didn't set the box office on fire, Miller's comments suggest he still has stories to tell within this world. Deadline reported that Miller has a script ready for another Mad Max film, possibly referring to the rumored sequel, The Wasteland. However, with other projects on his plate and the high cost of production, it remains to be seen if studios will greenlight another epic installment. But here's hoping they do, because the wasteland awaits.
