In *Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl*, the variety of weapons available caters to every player's unique playstyle. Among these, the unique (named) variants stand out with their special modifications or enhanced power, and the Cavalier sniper rifle is a prime example. This special weapon comes equipped with a red-dot sight instead of a traditional magnification scope, making it exceptionally lethal at short to medium ranges. Here's how you can acquire this coveted rifle.
How to Get the Unique Cavalier Rifle in Stalker 2
--------------------------------------------------
To obtain the Cavalier Sniper Rifle, head to the Military Unit inside the Duga base in *Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl*. The rifle is located within a warehouse that adjoins a greenhouse. If you've previously accessed the Duga base to retrieve the Journalist's stash, entering through the second entrance will be familiar and straightforward.
Getting Inside the Warehouse Near the Military Unit of Duga Base
Upon entering the Duga base, navigate towards the Military Unit building, as indicated on your map. Your goal is not to enter the building itself but to circumvent it to reach the greenhouse at the rear. Be vigilant, as two Pseudogiants patrol this area and will engage you upon detection. Approach the greenhouse cautiously to sidestep these formidable mutants.
Once inside the greenhouse, you'll find yourself within the warehouse. Be prepared for immediate threats, as multiple swarms of rats will emerge and begin to drain your health. To evade them, climb onto the elevated green platforms at the back of the warehouse. Use a grenade to effectively dispatch the rat swarm.
Break the Wooden Boards & Grab the Cavalier Rifle
After neutralizing the rat swarms, direct your attention to the warehouse ceiling above the entryway connected to the greenhouse. You'll notice wooden boards covered in yellow paint. Use your weapon to shoot these boards, causing the Cavalier sniper rifle to drop down.
Secure the weapon and make your way out of the Duga base safely. To maximize the Cavalier's potential, take it to Screw, the technician at Rostok base, for upgrades. The rifle boasts maximum damage and great accuracy, which can be further enhanced with additional modifications. For players who prefer not to use a scope on their sniper rifles, the Cavalier, with its red-dot sight, is an excellent choice for engaging in close to medium-range combat.
