A fantastic Black Friday deal on one of the best OLED TVs is back, and it's not to be missed. Starting today, both Amazon and Samsung are slashing the price of the 2024 65" Samsung S90D 4K OLED Smart TV to just $1,399.99 shipped, after a whopping $1,300 in instant savings. This is the perfect TV to elevate your gaming experience, whether you're playing on a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X. The Samsung S90D is often hailed as being on par with, or even surpassing, the renowned LG C4 OLED TV. According to RTINGS, the S90D boasts superior brightness, a wider color gamut, enhanced color volume, a broader viewing angle, and improved HDR gradient handling.

The Samsung S90D is the latest 2024 model, and while a new "S90F" model was announced at CES 2025, it's not yet available. This TV features Samsung's proprietary quantum dot (QD) OLED panel, which offers brighter displays than traditional OLEDs while maintaining the color accuracy, range, and wide-viewing angles that OLEDs are celebrated for. When compared to traditional LED LCD TVs, OLED TVs like the S90D provide superior image quality, near-infinite blacks, an almost infinite contrast ratio, and near-instantaneous response times.
Beyond its OLED technology, the Samsung S90D is packed with features that make it an ideal gaming TV. It comes with a native 120Hz panel that can be overclocked to 144Hz, and it includes four HDMI 2.1 ports, allowing you to run 4K at 120Hz on your PS5 or Xbox Series X. The TV also supports variable refresh rate and auto low latency mode, making it a perfect match for the recently released PlayStation 5 Pro, which can drive more games in quality mode (native 4K @ 120fps) than the standard PS5, which often requires performance mode (upscaled 4K).

If you're in the market for a smaller size, the 42", 48", and 55" models are also on sale. The 42" model is particularly well-suited for use as a PC monitor. At this size, the 4K resolution offers a pixel density of 104ppi and supports chroma 4:4:4 subsampling for clear, legible text. Additionally, the HDMI 2.1 input supports refresh rates up to 144Hz over 4K resolution.
Best Buy Exclusive Model (Similar to S85D)### 77" Samsung S84D 4K OLED Smart TV

For this week only, Best Buy is offering the 77" Samsung S84D 4K OLED smart TV for $1,499.99. This deal is only $150 more than the 65" S90D model, yet it provides a 40% larger screen size. The S84D is an exclusive model at Best Buy, similar to the S85D but with slightly better speakers (30W vs 20W). While it's a step down in image quality from the S90D due to the lack of quantum dot technology and a refresh rate capped at 120Hz, it remains an outstanding TV and an excellent value at this price.
