The Sanctum Sanctorum map is one of three thrilling additions in Season 1, serving as the battleground for the newly introduced Doom Match mode. In this mode, 8-12 players can participate in an intense free-for-all, where the top 50% emerge victorious. Alongside Sanctum Sanctorum, players can explore the bustling streets of New York's Midtown for a convoy mission, and the serene yet mysterious Central Park, which is slated for a significant mid-season update.
A captivating video released by Marvel Rivals showcases the enchanting and peculiar features of the Sanctum Sanctorum. The map is adorned with lavish decor juxtaposed with oddities such as floating cookware and a squid-like creature emerging from the refrigerator. As the camera sweeps through the space, viewers are treated to winding staircases, levitating bookshelves, and dazzling artifacts of immense power. This is the iconic residence of Doctor Strange, complete with a charming portrait of him adorning the wall.
The trailer also highlights a portrait of Wong, a beloved character making his debut in the game. At the trailer's end, fans can spot Doctor Strange's ghostly companion, Bats, lounging on the floor.
