The Samsung 990 Evo Plus is an outstanding choice for both gaming PCs and PlayStation 5 consoles. While it's not as fast as the 990 Pro, the main difference lies in its DRAM-less design. However, for PS5 performance, this doesn't matter. In gaming PCs, the 990 Evo Plus utilizes HMB (host memory buffer) to compensate for the lack of DRAM, borrowing a negligible amount of system RAM.
