The final day of the Six Invitational is always a big day for Ubisoft and Rainbow Six Siege announcements, and this year was no exception. A highlight was the reveal of Rauora, the newest Attack Operator hailing from New Zealand.
Rauora's unique ability centers around the DOM launcher, a deployable bulletproof shield designed specifically for doorways. While resistant to bullets, it's vulnerable to explosives. A clever twist is the trigger mechanism; friendly fire opens the shield in one second, while enemy fire takes three, a potentially game-changing difference, especially when the defuser is planted.

Adding to the excitement, Rauora brings a new weapon to Rainbow Six Siege: the Reaper MK2, a fully automatic pistol boasting a red dot sight and high-capacity magazine. Players can also equip the M249 LMG or the 417 marksman rifle as alternatives.
Rauora will be playable on the test servers starting next week, with a wider release on the live servers to follow shortly after.
