Rainbow Six Siege X: Major Updates and 10th Anniversary Celebration

Ubisoft has unveiled an exciting update for the long-standing tactical shooter, Rainbow Six Siege, ahead of its 10th anniversary. Dubbed Rainbow Six Siege X, this update promises significant gameplay enhancements and refinements. Announced on February 17, 2025, more details will be revealed at a showcase event scheduled for March 13, 2025, at 10:00 am (PDT) / 1:00 pm (EDT) in Atlanta, Georgia. This event will not only showcase the drastic changes coming to the game but also offer an immersive experience for players, creators, and developers alike.

Rainbow Six Siege Showcase in March 2025

The Rainbow Six Siege X showcase will be a pivotal moment for fans, featuring new ways to play, deepened tactical gameplay, refined game feel, and major upgrades across the board. Tickets for in-person attendance at the event are available for USD $10, which includes an exclusive long-sleeve shirt and an in-game cosmetic pack. Attendees must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • Must be a legal resident of the USA and Canada
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must have a good Rainbow Six Siege account (not banned or sanctioned)

Additionally, Ubisoft is offering VIP packages through a giveaway, which includes a hotel stay, roundtrip flight, and entry to the Showcase event. This opportunity is also limited to legal residents of the USA and Canada.

Rainbow Six Siege Upcoming 10th Year Anniversary

Originally launched on December 1, 2015, for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, Rainbow Six Siege has since been ported to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2020. As one of the longest-running live-service shooter games, it continues to receive updates that enhance its gameplay and community experience. In celebration of its 10th anniversary, Ubisoft is introducing a new operator, Aurora, who can deploy bulletproof doors, a new elite skin for operator Aruni, and a new reputation system that rewards or penalizes players based on their in-game behavior. These features will be rolled out in Season 1 of its 10th year, Operation Prep Phase, starting March 4, 2025.

While the 10th anniversary celebrations kick off with Season 1, the major upgrades of Rainbow Six Siege X are expected to be implemented on the live servers at a later date, following the showcase in March.
