The 2025 PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) is now in full swing, marking the first international PUBG Mobile Esports event of the year. With an impressive 90,000 competitors registered, the Open Qualifiers kicked off on February 13th, offering a golden opportunity for new talent to showcase their skills and secure a coveted spot in the PMGO Main Event.
A hefty $500,000 prize pool is up for grabs, motivating teams to excel through multiple rounds of competition. This tournament is exclusively for amateurs, ensuring that emerging players have a chance to shine on the global stage.
Teams featuring at least one player ranked in the Ultimate 500 from Cycle 7 Season 20 or 21 have directly advanced to Round 2 of the Open Qualifiers. In the coming weeks, these up-and-coming squads will vie for a position in the PMGO Prelims, where they will confront top teams from the Uzbekistan Offline Qualifiers.
From the Prelims, twelve teams will earn the opportunity to compete against PUBG Mobile's elite professionals at the PMGO Main Event. Four professional teams—Regnum Carya, Nigma Galaxy, 4Merical Vibes, and Influence Rage—have already secured their spots based on their performances at the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2024. Additionally, four more teams will join the fray from regional competitions such as the PMSL SEA Spring, PMGO Korea Qualifier, and the Peacekeeper Elite League Spring season.
The Open Qualifiers will continue until March 2nd, with the Prelims scheduled for April 10th-11th, leading directly into the Main Event on April 12th-13th. This tournament heralds the beginning of an action-packed year for PUBG Mobile Esports, with the PUBG Mobile World Cup and the PMGC slated to return later in 2025.
