Amazon Prime Gaming has announced a generous lineup of 16 free games for subscribers to claim in January, featuring renowned titles such as Deus Ex and BioShock 2. Out of these 16 games, five are already available for immediate download, requiring only an Amazon Prime subscription.
Originally known as Twitch Prime, Prime Gaming is Amazon's initiative that provides monthly perks to Prime subscribers. One of the key benefits is a curated selection of free games that change each month, which once redeemed, are yours to keep indefinitely. Prime Gaming is also known for offering in-game loot for popular games like Overwatch 2, League of Legends, and Pokemon GO, although those specific offers concluded last year.
The free games continue to flow, and Amazon has unveiled the 16 titles available in January, with BioShock 2 Remastered, Spirit Mancer, Eastern Exorcist, The Bridge, and SkyDrift Infinity already up for grabs. BioShock 2 Remastered stands out as a graphically enhanced version of the second installment in the BioShock series, continuing the narrative of the underwater city, Rapture. Another intriguing title is Spirit Mancer, which follows a demon hunter's accidental journey to the infernal realm. This indie game blends hack-and-slash with deck-building mechanics and features nods to Mega Man, Pokemon, and Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.

Among the other games slated for release this month, Deus Ex: Game of the Year Edition, available on January 23, brings back the iconic first game of the Deus Ex series, known for its dystopian setting and cinematic inspirations from movies like Blade Runner and RoboCop. Players follow JC Denton, an anti-terrorist agent, as he unravels a deep conspiracy. On January 30, Prime Gaming will release Super Meat Boy Forever, a 2020 sequel to the infamously challenging Super Meat Boy. In this game, players control Meat Boy and Bandage Girl as they pursue Dr. Fetus to rescue their daughter, Nugget.
Amazon Prime subscribers have a limited window to claim December 2024 Prime Gaming titles. The Coma: Recut and Planet of Lana are available until January 15, while Simulakros can be claimed until March 19. Additionally, some November offers are still valid, with Shogun Showdown expiring on January 28, House of Golf 2 on February 12, and both Jurassic World Evolution and Elite Dangerous on February 25.
