Pokémon Go Launches Wayfarer Challenge in Chile and India for New PokéStops and Gyms

Niantic has recently unveiled the exciting Wayfarer Challenge in Pokémon Go, offering trainers in Chile and India a unique opportunity to influence their local game environment while reaping exclusive rewards. This event invites players to engage with the Niantic Wayfarer platform, where they can review and approve Wayspot nominations. By participating, you play a crucial role in adding new PokéStops and Gyms to Pokémon Go, all while working towards achieving special milestone rewards.

The Wayfarer Challenge will take place from March 7th to 9th in Chile and from March 10th to 12th in India. During these dates, you can nominate real-world locations, including landmarks, sculptures, and street art, to become part of the Pokémon Go map as PokéStops and Gyms.

Your contributions to reviewing these nominations help reach community milestones. If the community manages to resolve 5,000 nominations, all participants will be rewarded with 20 Ultra Balls, a Star Piece, an Incense, and a Poffin. Should the collective effort hit 10,000 approvals, the rewards escalate to 25 Ultra Balls, two Star Pieces, two Incenses, two Poffins, and a Lucky Egg.

To participate in the Wayfarer Challenge, you must be at least level 37 in Pokémon Go and have a Niantic Wayfarer account. New users will need to complete the Wayfarer Orientation before they can start reviewing nominations. Additionally, you must have recently played in Chile or India or set your Wayfarer Hometown or Bonus Location to one of these countries. To be eligible for rewards, you'll need to review at least 50 nominations, and at least one community milestone must be achieved.

Alongside the Wayfarer Challenge, the PokéStop Challenge event will run from March 9th to 12th, exclusively in Chile and India. This event enhances your gaming experience by offering 3x XP for first-time visits to PokéStops, 3x Stardust from opening Gifts, and increased encounters with Kecleon. Event Field Research tasks will reward you with encounters with Eevee, while Timed Research offers chances to catch additional Pokémon.
