Niantic has exciting news for Pokemon GO enthusiasts: the Fashion Week: Taken Over event, kicking off on January 15, will introduce Shroodle and its evolution, Grafaiai, to the game. These new additions from the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet games are set to enhance your Pokemon GO experience with their unique appearances. Shroodle, a Poison/Normal-type with a distinctively large head and eyes, evolves into Grafaiai at level 28. Grafaiai, resembling a lemur with large eyes and uniquely sized fingers, has also been featured in Pokemon Horizons episodes.
During the event, from January 15 at 12 am to January 19 at 8 pm local time, you'll have the chance to encounter Shroodle by hatching 12 km eggs. Evolving it into Grafaiai requires 50 Shroodle Candy. The event promises more encounters with Team GO Rocket, appearing more frequently at PokeStops and in balloons. Players can also use a Charged TM to help Shadow Pokemon forget the Charged Attack Frustration. Plus, snapping a photo during the event may lead to a surprise encounter with Croagunk sporting a fashion week outfit.
A new Special Research will unlock the opportunity to save Shadow Palkia, and six new Shadow Pokemon, including the Unova starters, will be available during the event. Shadow Raids will feature seven different monsters, with the notable inclusion of Nidoran female and male. For the first time, Remote Raid Passes can be used in these battles. New Field Research tasks will reward trainers with Mysterious Components, Charged and Fast TMs. The event will also feature Fashion Week: Taken Over-themed Showcases and Collection Challenges. The Web Store will offer new deals, and the in-game shop will have a 300-coin bundle with an Incubator, a Rocket Radar, and a Premium Battle Pass.
The coming days are packed with exciting activities for Pokemon GO players. Following the Fashion Week event, the Corviknight evolutionary line will debut on January 21, and a new Shadow Raid Day will take place soon after. Additionally, a Classic Community Day is scheduled for January 25, offering another chance to catch Ralts.
