The New Year's 2025 event in Pokémon Go is set to run from December 30th, 2024, at 10:00 am to January 1st, 2025, at 8:00 pm local time. While there won't be any new Pokémon, Shinies, or costumes this year, which might disappoint some fans, there's still plenty of fun to be had.

You'll encounter wild spawns such as Jigglypuff adorned with a ribbon, Hoothoot in a festive New Year's outfit, and Wurmple sporting a party hat, all of which have the potential to be Shiny. The event bonuses include earning 2,025 XP for Excellent Throws and the spectacle of festive fireworks lighting up the night sky, adding a touch of magic to your adventures.

In Tier One raids, you'll find Pikachu wearing a snowflake beanie, while Tier Three raids will feature Raticate and Wobbuffet, both donning party hats, with increased chances of encountering their Shiny variants.
