Imagine if revenge tasted like your favorite fruit—how sweet would that be? That's the idea behind Patrones & Escondites' new game, Pineapple: A Bittersweet Revenge, set to launch on September 26th across Android, iOS, and PC. While the game's Steam page is live, it hasn't yet been pre-loaded on the Play Store. The buzz around it is strong, having already clinched awards for being the best ludonarrative game.
Pineapple: A Bittersweet Revenge is an interactive prank simulator where you play as a teenager tired of being bullied by the classic 'Mean Girls'. This time, you're turning the tables with a twist of absurdity and a lot of pineapples! The game challenges you to cleverly place pineapples in unexpected spots like lockers and bags, catching your bullies off guard. It's not just about the laughs; it also prompts you to ponder the fine line between seeking justice and becoming what you're fighting against. Don't miss the fun trailer the developers released!
Interestingly, the concept for Pineapple: A Bittersweet Revenge originated from a Reddit post. While the exact post remains a mystery, the developers might share that story someday. Until then, you can visit the official website to learn more about the game. With its charming hand-drawn, doodle-like visuals and a catchy soundtrack, the game promises to be quite engaging. The trailer gives off a Dork Diaries vibe, so it'll be exciting to see if the gameplay lives up to the art and the teaser's promise.
