<Pandoland is shutting down. Yes, publisher WonderPlanet has confirmed the end of Pandoland, just eight months after its global mobile launch. This announcement comes after the game transitioned from a Japan-only release to a worldwide server in May last year.
When is the Pandoland shutdown?
Game Freak announced the shutdown via a post on X, thanking players for their support and feedback over the years. The service will end on March 6th, 2026. Currently, there’s no confirmation whether an offline mode will be added to let players complete missions after the servers go offline.
Pandoland is developed by Game Freak, best known for Pokémon. This casual RPG features a voxel art style, over 500 characters, and a vast, cloud-draped world filled with exploration and treasure hunting.
What led to the Pandoland shutdown? The game relied heavily on repeated roulette events that offered diminishing rewards. Its design was intensely grind-heavy and pay-to-win, with PvP serving as the main source of diamonds.
After its debut, Pandoland featured a ROCKMAN/Mega Man collaboration event. But after that, regular updates and meaningful content largely disappeared. The Hatsune Miku collaboration rerun further drew criticism for replacing unique event maps with the roulette wheel system.
That’s the story. Pandoland is shutting down in just a few months. To say goodbye, the developers have launched a ‘Thank You Campaign.’ More details about in-game purchases and other offerings will be shared in the coming weeks.
If you haven’t tried it yet, you can download Pandoland for free on the Google Play Store.
