Nvidia's latest budget-friendly Blackwell GPU, the GeForce RTX 5070, has hit the market today with a compelling suggested retail price of $549.99, making it the most affordable option among the new 50 series cards. This release marks Nvidia's fourth entry in the 50 series lineup, following the RTX 5080 and 5090 launched in January, and the RTX 5070 Ti in February. While the Founder's Edition of the RTX 5070 won't be available until later this month, third-party cards are ready for purchase right now.
Unfortunately, Nvidia has been struggling with inventory issues across the RTX 50 series, and the RTX 5070 might face similar stock challenges. Retailers are already cautioning about potential shortages, and recent GPU launches have been affected by bots that scoop up cards to resell at inflated prices. If you're eager to get your hands on one, act quickly if you find it in stock. Alternatively, consider prebuilt PCs with the RTX 5090, which tend to remain available longer.
**TLDR:** While this article suggests availability, there's no guarantee that RTX 5070 GPUs will be in stock at any retailer. Be prepared for potential sell-outs, as it's a common occurrence with new Nvidia releases.

Among the four Blackwell releases, the Nvidia RTX 5070 stands out as the most budget-friendly option, priced at a retail of $549. While less expensive variants are expected later in the cycle, no official announcements have been made yet.
Various retailers have listed RTX 5070 graphics cards for sale, but stock levels are unpredictable. To increase your chances of securing one on launch day, check multiple retailers and complete your purchase at the first available opportunity. Competition is fierce, and even if a GPU appears in stock, it might sell out before you can complete your purchase. Here's a breakdown of the benefits of checking different retailers:
0See it at Best Buy
Based on past Nvidia GPU launches, Best Buy is likely one of the best places to secure an RTX 5070, especially the Founder's Edition. Currently, they list only FE and Gigabyte cards, but expect more from Asus, MSI, and Zotac soon. Stock availability varies by region, so if you're in an area with lower demand for the 5090 or 5080, your chances are better here. Best Buy's preorders typically ship or are available for in-store pickup quickly, ensuring you get your card within days.
0See it at Newegg
Newegg is another top choice, offering the widest selection of AIB 5070 graphics cards from third-party manufacturers. With 43 different models listed, including offerings from Asus, MSI, Gigabyte, and Zotac, Newegg is an authorized reseller, ensuring you get the full manufacturer's warranty when buying directly from them. If standalone cards are sold out, consider their bundle kits, which include components like motherboards, CPUs, RAM, or power supplies, and tend to sell out more slowly.
Founder's Edition to Arrive Later in March.
0See it at Nvidia Store
The Nvidia Store might seem like the obvious choice, but the highly sought-after Founder's Edition is rarely in stock. However, if you're a loyal Nvidia customer, you might receive special invites, as seen with the RTX 40-series, for those who registered past GPUs or signed up for notifications through GeForce Experience or the Nvidia app.
0See it at Amazon
Amazon is a convenient option, but finding an RTX 5070 can be challenging due to the lack of a dedicated page for video cards and the presence of marketplace vendors with inflated prices or scams. Always ensure you're buying from Amazon directly to avoid issues.
0See it at Adorama
Adorama may list AIB 5070 cards at launch, but be aware that preorders can take months to ship. Even if you secure a preorder, keep an eye on other retailers for faster delivery. Adorama is a legitimate Nvidia reseller with a physical store in NYC.
0See it at B&H Photo
B&H Photo might also have the RTX 5070 available at launch, but like Adorama, preorders can take a long time to ship. Keep checking other retailers for quicker delivery options. B&H Photo is another authorized Nvidia reseller with a strong ecommerce presence.
0See it at Microcenter
If you live near a Micro Center, it's your best bet for securing an RTX 5070 on launch day. They typically reserve GPU sales for in-store customers, so arrive early to increase your chances. Some enthusiasts have already started camping out to ensure they get one.
The Nvidia 50 series GPUs were unveiled at CES 2025, focusing on enhanced AI features rather than traditional raster performance. DLSS 4 technology promises to quadruple frame rates with minimal visual compromise. While these GPUs offer a performance boost, opinions vary on their value compared to the RTX 40 series.
In our review, Jackie Thomas noted, "The Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 is a complex offering. It delivers on its promise to play games at 1440p with high frame rates, but it doesn't necessarily outperform the RTX 4070 Super or other cards in its price range. The addition of Multi Frame Generation is a nice feature for those with high-refresh monitors, but it alone might not justify an upgrade."
