Nintendo's latest financial report confirms the release of several first-party titles in 2025. Fans can look forward to Donkey Kong Country Returns HD launching on January 16th, and Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition on March 20th. Additionally, Pokémon Legends: Z-A and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond are set to hit the shelves this year, though specific release dates are yet to be announced.
While no other projects have been disclosed, the much-anticipated Nintendo Direct is scheduled for April 2nd, 2025. The exact broadcast time will be shared later via Nintendo's official website and social media channels. Although the focus is expected to be on the Nintendo Switch 2, fans are eager for more details on Switch 2-exclusive titles.
The eagerly awaited Nintendo Switch 2 is also set to launch in 2025, with the financial report suggesting a release in the latter half of the year. To build excitement, Nintendo will host live in-person Nintendo Switch 2 Experience events in 15 global locations, including New York, Tokyo, and Amsterdam, starting in April. While most locations have closed their registration, a waitlist is available for those still hoping to attend. For the Japan leg of the tour, ticket applications are open until February 20th JST.

Nintendo is broadening its horizons with the opening of a new Super Nintendo World at Universal Orlando Resort’s Universal Epic Universe in Orlando, Florida, set for May 22nd, 2025.
