The upcoming Switch 2 Nintendo Direct presentation will span approximately 60 minutes, according to Nintendo's official confirmation.
This extended runtime marks one of Nintendo's longer Direct broadcasts, indicating the company has substantial content planned for this highly anticipated showcase event.
Scheduled for April 2, 2025, the presentation will begin at 6am PDT / 9am EDT / 2pm BST. Nintendo stated this Direct will provide an "in-depth look" at Switch 2 following the console's initial reveal earlier this year.
The previous unveiling showed the Switch 2's form factor, potentially teased Mario Kart 9, and hinted at what appeared to be a 'mouse' functionality for the redesigned Joy-Con controllers.
Several key questions remain unanswered about Switch 2, including:
The functionality of the mysterious new 'C' button on Joy-Cons
The console's actual processing power
The purpose of its newly-added ports
The Nintendo Direct will likely reveal Switch 2's full launch game lineup and official release date - currently projected for summer/fall 2025. Fans also hope Nintendo will confirm the retail price, with industry analysts predicting a $400 MSRP.
