Get ready for an exciting celebration as NieR marks its 15th anniversary with a special livestream event. This broadcast promises new updates for the series and direct insights from the creators. Dive into the details of this upcoming event and what it might mean for the future of NieR.
Mark your calendars for the NieR 15th Anniversary Livestream, set to take place on April 19, 2025. Square Enix is hosting this special event on their YouTube channel, bringing together key figures from the NieR series. Expect to see NieR creator and Creative Director Yoko Taro, Producer Yosuke Saito, Composer Keiichi Okabe, Senior Game Designer Takahisa Taura, and the voice actor Hiroki Yasumoto, known for voicing Grimoire Weiss and Pod 042.
The livestream isn't just about nostalgia; it will also feature a mini-live performance and other exciting content to commemorate the 15th anniversary. Interestingly, the promotional art includes visuals from the now-closed mobile game NieR Reincarnation, hinting at potential future projects or simply celebrating the game's place in the series' history.
Tune in at 2 AM PT for what promises to be a 2.5-hour event, sparking anticipation among fans for significant announcements.
The excitement around the 15th anniversary is heightened by producer Yosuke Saito's hints about a potential new NieR game. In an interview with 4Gamer in December 2024, Saito expressed his desire to celebrate the milestone with something special, possibly a new game or other developments related to the series.
Since the release of NieR Replicant, a remaster-remake of the original NieR game, fans have been eagerly awaiting a new mainline entry. The last major release, NieR Automata, came out in 2017, and while no official announcements have been made, the upcoming anniversary livestream could be the perfect stage for revealing what's next for the beloved series.
