This week's Mortal Kombat 1 update brought a surprising addition to the roster: Conan the Barbarian. But the real unexpected guest is a secret fighter – a pink-clad ninja named Floyd! No, it's not a joke; this character is a genuine, playable addition.
Floyd is a clear nod to the iconic Pink Floyd. His introduction mirrors the band's Dark Side of the Moon album cover, showcasing a prism's dispersion of light. Interestingly, Floyd's moveset is a blend of other ninjas' techniques, borrowing abilities from Sub-Zero (freezing) and Scorpion (spear attacks). Adding to the fun, he boasts a quirky 1337 health points.
Long-time Mortal Kombat fans will see parallels with Reptile, the original game's secret character. Like Floyd, Reptile was notoriously difficult to unlock and utilized a moveset compiled from other ninjas.
The community is currently deciphering the seemingly random trigger for encountering Floyd, though the character offers clues regarding required challenges. A definitive unlock method remains unconfirmed.
