HoYoverse's Zenless Zone Zero continues its impressive climb in the mobile gaming market. The recent 1.4 update, dubbed "And the Starfall Came," shattered previous records, generating a staggering $8.6 million in daily player spending on mobile devices alone. This surpasses even the game's impressive launch day revenue in July 2024.
According to AppMagic, Zenless Zone Zero's cumulative mobile revenue has already soared past $265 million. Update 1.4's success is attributed to a combination of factors: the introduction of new agents like Hoshimi Miyabi and Asaba Harumasa, along with significant improvements to game mechanics, new locations, and exciting new game modes, all contributing to increased player engagement and spending.

The free availability of Harumasa as a promotional character, coupled with a focused banner featuring Hoshimi Miyabi, played a crucial role in driving this record-breaking revenue.
HoYoverse successfully maintained player interest far beyond the typical post-update spending drop-off. Unlike the usual decline a week after an update, Zenless Zone Zero exceeded $1 million in daily revenue for over 11 consecutive days, and remained above $500,000 per day even two weeks later.
While undeniably successful, Zenless Zone Zero still trails behind HoYoverse's flagship titles, Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, in terms of overall revenue.
