Acclaimed director Bong Joon-ho returns with Mickey 17, starring Robert Pattinson (Twilight, The Batman). Pattinson plays an "expendable," a clone repeatedly sent on deadly missions, only to be replaced after each death. Interestingly, Pattinson has stated that Cedric Diggory is the character he'd most like to give a second chance to, a sentiment that resonates with the film's premise.
IGN critic Siddhant Adlakha describes Mickey 17 as a "depressing" sci-fi comedy with profound philosophical undertones. He notes its confrontational pessimism, transforming a straightforward novel into a stark reflection on the current political climate, holding everyone accountable for their actions.

Mickey 17 will stream on Max, not Netflix or Hulu, due to Warner Bros.' ownership of the platform. Considering Warner Bros.' previous release patterns (Beetlejuice arrived on Max three months after its theatrical release), Mickey 17 will likely be available on Max by late July. However, this is an estimate, and the actual release date may vary.
