Remember the thrill of arcade battles and the excitement of frantic button-mashing? That classic feel is making a comeback with the highly anticipated release from HaoPlay Limited. Set to launch globally on July 18th, 2024, Metal Slug: Awakening is now open for pre-registration, and it's shaping up to be an exhilarating revival of the iconic '90s series.
Here's What You Need to Know: ------------------------------
Metal Slug: Awakening is a modern reimagining of the legendary Metal Slug series. Initially teased in 2020 by TiMi Studios under the name Metal Slug Code: J, the game faced several delays and name changes before its successful debut in Southeast Asia in late 2023. Now, it's ready for a global audience and you can pre-register to be among the first to play.
For those unfamiliar (though I doubt many are), let's dive into the background. Metal Slug is a renowned Japanese run-and-gun video game series that first hit the scene in 1996. Developed by Nazca Corporation, it later expanded into a vast multimedia franchise.
This isn't the first time Metal Slug has ventured into mobile gaming. We've seen titles like Metal Slug Defense in 2014, Metal Slug Attack in 2016, and Metal Slug Commander in 2020. However, Metal Slug: Awakening promises to elevate the experience with enhanced features and gameplay.
The game remains faithful to its roots with classic shooter mechanics but introduces updated graphics and innovative gameplay elements. Players will reconnect with beloved Metal Slug characters on new missions. Dive into the World Adventure mode, team up with two friends in the 3-player Team-up for intense co-op action, and tackle Roguelike challenges.

Will You Pre-Register? ----------------------
The game features 3-player PvE gameplay and an Ultimate Arena for real-time battles. Pre-registration for Metal Slug: Awakening is now available on the Google Play Store. Don't miss your chance to be part of this exciting revival.
