With the release of Captain America: Brave New World, it's time to revisit the expansive Marvel Cinematic Universe, now boasting an impressive 35 films. Which MCU movie is your favorite? Do you have a soft spot for the early origin stories like Iron Man? Or do you prefer the thrilling team-ups that concluded the Infinity Saga? Share your thoughts using our interactive tier list tool below.
There are numerous films to choose from, and remember, this list only includes movies from Kevin Feige's MCU empire, excluding any Sony Marvel films (sorry, X-Men fans, apart from Wolverine). Here's a look at my personal tier list, based entirely on my enjoyment over the years:
Simon Cardy's MCU Tier List
Unfortunately, Captain America: Brave New World didn't meet my expectations, landing in the D tier due to what might be the MCU's clunkiest script to date. Additionally, my placement of Deadpool & Wolverine (2024) in the bottom category might surprise many, but it simply didn't resonate with me. You can find my detailed reasons for this decision here. However, I believe Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is the lowest point for the MCU, easily warranting its D-tier status.
On the other hand, the top tier is reserved for the five films I consider truly exceptional. Both Captain America: Civil War and Winter Soldier are S-tier for me, effectively capturing the emotional heart of the MCU and the thrill of espionage, respectively. Thor: Ragnarok stands out as one of the funniest comedies of the past decade, while Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame delivered a spectacular conclusion to the series' most crucial chapter.
If you disagree with my rankings, perhaps believing No Way Home is the best of the Tom Holland Spider-Man trilogy or that Black Panther deserves an S-tier spot, you can create your own tier list below. Compare your S, A, B, C, and D tiers with the entire IGN community.
