Marvel Snap introduces Sanctum Showdown mode

Apr 08,2025 Author: Christopher

Are you ready to ascend to the rank of Sorcerer Supreme? Marvel Snap has just launched a thrilling new limited-time mode called Sanctum Showdown, and it's set to captivate players for the next two weeks. This event introduces an exciting new way to compete, featuring a unique win condition, a special Sanctum location, and innovative snapping mechanics.

In the Sanctum Showdown mode, the traditional gameplay of reaching turn six is replaced with a race to 16 points. The key to victory lies in the Sanctum location, which awards the highest points each turn. Additionally, the snapping mechanic has been revamped. Starting from turn three, you can snap once per turn to boost the Sanctum's value by one point, keeping the game's momentum in constant flux.

Each match in Sanctum Showdown requires one Scroll to enter, but a win rewards you with another Scroll, allowing the action to continue. You begin with 12 Scrolls and receive two more every eight hours. If you find yourself short on Scrolls, you can purchase additional ones for 40 Gold. Regardless of the match's outcome, every game contributes to your Sorcerer Rank and earns you Charms, which you can spend in the Sanctum Shop on cosmetics or new cards.

Strategizing with cards like Captain Marvel or Dracula won't work in this mode, as certain cards and locations are banned to ensure fair play. Abilities that affect final outcomes are disabled, and cards like Debrii are excluded to prevent one-sided strategies. To build the perfect deck for this challenge, check out our Marvel Snap tier list!

If you're eyeing cards like Laufey, Gorgon, and Uncle Ben, Sanctum Showdown is your exclusive opportunity to acquire them before they become available in the Token Shop on March 13th. Portal Pulls offer a chance to unlock these cards for free, along with up to four Series 4 or 5 cards.

Sanctum Showdown will be available in Marvel Snap until March 11th. For more details, be sure to visit the official website.
