Get ready, Marvel Rivals players! A thrilling crossover event is bringing the iconic Advanced Suit 2.0 from Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 to the game as a brand-new skin.
PlayStation announced this exciting collaboration on X/Twitter, giving us a sneak peek at how NetEase Games has reimagined this classic suit for their hero shooter. This sleek Spider-Man suit, originally designed for Insomniac Games’ Marvel’s Spider-Man, has appeared in all three games in the series. Its distinctive white spider symbol sets it apart, making this Marvel Rivals collaboration a truly surprising partnership with Sony and their console-exclusive superhero game. The Advanced Suit 2.0 will swing into the in-game store on January 30th, coinciding with the PC release of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
Marvel Rivals, launched in December, already boasts a wide array of unlockable suits, but this Spidey suit is a particularly unique addition. Beyond its connection to the hugely popular PlayStation series, the Advanced Suit 2.0 will once again be voiced by Yuri Lowenthal. Lowenthal voiced Peter Parker in all three of Insomniac’s Spider-Man games and also lends his voice to the Marvel Rivals version. So, when you grab this costume on January 30th, expect a familiar and authentic feel as you web-sling your way to victory.
NetEase’s inclusion of the Advanced Suit 2.0 adds another exciting element to the already impressive content released with Season 1: Eternal Night Falls last week. This season introduced Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman from the Fantastic Four as playable characters, with The Thing and Human Torch arriving in a few weeks. And the fun doesn’t stop there! Creative director Guangyun Chen has promised at least one new hero every month and a half.
