Get ready, Call of Duty Warzone fans! The highly anticipated return of the beloved Verdansk map is almost here. While Activision initially teased a spring 2025 release, a recent discovery points to a March 10th, 2025 launch. A countdown timer on the official Call of Duty shop, spotted by InsiderGaming, strongly suggests this date. The timer accompanies a nostalgic image hinting at the original Verdansk map's iconic alpine scenery—snow, pine trees, a dam, and a crashed plane—evoking fond memories for veteran players. This marks a significant turnaround for fans, considering past statements suggesting Verdansk's permanent removal. Currently, the only way to experience the original Verdansk is through Call of Duty Warzone Mobile.
Will you be returning to Warzone for Verdansk?
Meanwhile, Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Season 2 has launched, featuring five new multiplayer maps (Bounty, Dealership, Lifeline, Bullet, and Grind), the return of Gun Game, new weapons, operators, and a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover event. Warzone, however, has received a smaller content update than initially planned, as the development team focuses on addressing critical issues, including gameplay balancing, bug fixes, and quality-of-life improvements.
