Set to launch on August 1, 2025, Edge of Eternities hasn't revealed any card spoilers yet, but we've gathered some intriguing details about what to expect.

What is MTG Edge of Eternities?

This year, Wizards of the Coast is diving deep into the 'Universes Beyond' with sets like Final Fantasy, followed by Spider-Man and Avatar: The Last Airbender. While some might have mixed feelings about this direction, Edge of Eternities stands out by staying within the Magic universe, focusing on a cosmic theme. It serves as the opening chapter of the final story arc in the Metronome storyline, which started with Wilds of Eldraine.

Play Boosters

Play Boosters have become the go-to choice for opening packs, replacing Set and Draft Boosters. These packs are perfect for sealed play, containing 15 cards each, though the last card might be an ad, art card, or token. The distribution includes six common cards, one common reprint, three uncommons, and one rare or mythic rare. A Land card can be foil or full art, while the 13th card is a wildcard from the set. The 14th card guarantees a foil, increasing the chances of pulling chase cards. You can purchase Play Boosters individually or in a booster box.

Collector Boosters

Collector Boosters are pricier and contain 16 cards, including one token. You'll find five rare or mythic rares, four uncommons, five commons, and one land. Many of these cards feature enhanced frame designs, with 12 to 13 cards being foils. These boosters can be bought singly or in a box, though they come at a premium.

Commander Decks

Commander has surged in popularity due to its engaging 'last player standing' gameplay and the convenience of ready-to-play 100-card decks. This year, the number of Commander decks per set has varied, but Edge of Eternities offers two: World Shaper in Black, Red, and Green (Jund), focusing on "Sacrifice Lands" and "Grow Back Stronger", and Counter Intelligence in Blue, Red, and White (Jeskai), aimed at "Boost Artifacts" and "Proliferate Counters".

Bundles and Prerelease Packs
