Played By A Live Orchestra

The renowned video game soundtrack, "One-Winged Angel," the theme for Final Fantasy 7's antagonist Sephiroth, graced the opening of this year's Louis Vuitton Men's Fall-Winter Fashion Show. A live orchestra performed the majestic piece as models showcased the latest luxury clothing on the runway.

Pharrell Williams, the show's creative director, curated the soundtrack. While the rest of the playlist leaned towards pop with artists like The Weeknd, Playboy Carti, Don Toliver, and K-POP stars SEVENTEEN and BTS' j-hope, "One-Winged Angel" stood out. Composed by Nobuo Uematsu, this track was the only one not penned by Pharrell, who contributed to the writing and composing of the other songs. It's speculated that Pharrell's choice might reflect his personal appreciation for the sound or a hidden passion for Final Fantasy.

For those eager to witness this fusion of fashion and video game music, the livestream is available on Louis Vuitton's official YouTube channel.

Square Enix Is More Than Happy To Hear The News

Square Enix expressed their delight on the official Final Fantasy 7 X (Twitter) account, stating, "We're more than happy to hear music director Pharrell Williams and team have included One-Winged Angel in the Louis Vuitton Men Fall-Winter 2025 Fashion Show!" They also shared a link to the video.

Final Fantasy 7 remains one of the most beloved entries in the series, captivating players with the tale of Cloud Strife and his team's battle against the megacorporation Shinra and the fallen hero Sephiroth. Launched in 1997, it has left an indelible mark on gamers worldwide.

The game's legacy was reignited with a surprise trailer at E3 2015, followed by a gameplay reveal at PlayStation Experience 2015. The Final Fantasy 7 Remake Project, envisioned as a trilogy, is currently in development, offering a modern take on the classic with enhanced graphics, new content, dynamic combat, and fresh storylines.

The first installment, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, is playable on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC. The sequel, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, is available on PlayStation 5, with a PC version set to launch on Steam on January 23rd.
